Childhood and first short film
James Cameron was born on August 16, 1954 in the province of Ontario, Kapuskasing, Canada in the family of an engineer. There, in the town of Chippy, which was located nearby, he went to school. He received his primary education is the United States, California, where his family just moved in the early 1960's. Here, he enrolled in the University, on the faculty of Phisics. He did not finish his studies. Instead of University he preferred to participate in cinema creating, which was always interesting to him.
In 1978, James and his friends William Wisher and Randall Frakes was making a short film. The plot was completely fantastic, and they called it "Xenogenesis". This short movie was noticed by Roger Corman, who was the head of «New World» studio. This studio specialized in low-budget films, and James Cameron started working there.
